Safety and Protection

It is important for victims to feel safe and protected from harm.  There are a number of agencies that can help you get lawful protection against violence and intimidation.

This section provides information on the assistance available to those who believe that there is a risk to their physical safety or security.  The links to agencies listed below will give you information on the assistance they can provide.  If you think you are at risk of immediate harm you should contact the WA Police Force on 131 444 or 000.

The Corrective Services Division Victim-offender Mediation Unit can also help you arrange protective agreements if you feel threatened by a person who is in prison or under a supervised community order.  Phone the Victim–offender Mediation Unit on (08) 9425 3200.
